About Hand of Mercy

Who are We?

Hand of Mercy International Church was founded, 5 February 2017 by Victor Tshimologo, in Mogoditshane Botswana.

Birth of Hand of Mercy

After serving with humility and total devotion to God, the time had come for Victor Tshimologo to now run his race that God had set before him, which we find in

Isaiah 61:1

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound”.

Vision

“Taking Nations for God”

is a call for revival and restoration of God’s people as we are living in end times and the world need God’s mercy more than ever, hence the name Hand of Mercy, we are an extension of God’s hand of mercy as it connotes in 1 Timothy 2:4, which proclaims that our God is a God “who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth”. As a church, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, strive to take the word of God to the nations. For it is written in Hosea 4:6, "My people perish due to lack of knowledge" and so it is our responsibility as Christians to go out into the world and share the Gospel.

Mission

Our mission is based on Luke 19:10

“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost”

and so, we are on a mission with Christ to seek and save the lost, while demonstrating God’s love through compassionate acts of giving to the community, evangelism, active participation in community activities.

Our Founder

Victor Tshimologo was born 05/12/1990 in Serowe, Dinokwane Ward. He was born to a family of 6 children, of which he is the second born. His upbringing was not a sweet tale as he encounters a lot challenges at a tender age. All the challenges he went through shaped him to the person he is today: a role model, mentor, teacher and father.

His journey to becoming what God had created him to be, begun to manifest at the age of 18 years old, after embarking on a 28 day fast seeking the face of God. It was during this time that through divine encounters his calling was confirmed. Before this, Mr. Tshimologo served as an usher, praise and worship, and then progressed to having cell groups in Serowe, evangelizing and preaching the Good News of Christ.

Administration

Prophet Victor Tshimologo is the General overseer of the ministry and he works alongside a Church Board to govern the ministry.

Humble Beginnings

Zechariah 4:10 tells us

“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel's hand” Such was the case with Hand of Mercy, the ministry's humble beginnings, starting as only a shelter, H.O.M.I.C has only by the grace of God grown to be the ministry it is today.

Our Values

01.

Love

The best use of life is love and we at HOMIC strive to put the needs of others before ours.

John 13:34

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.”

Also read: 1 Corinthians 16:14 and Romans 12: 10

02.

Hope

03.

Peace

04.

Respect

God has created all people in His image, so in response to that we show respect to all people regardless of color, race, culture, and background.

1 Peter 2:17

“Respect everyone, and love your Christian brothers and sisters. Fear God, and respect the king”.

05.

Forgiveness

Just as we were forgiven by God we ought to forgive others, because we too are undeserving of forgiveness and so we do not have the right to withhold it from others.

Ephesians 4:32

“And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”

06.

Creativity

We are to use our God given gifts and talents.

Romans 12: 6-8

“We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”

The value of hope is confident expectation, firm assurance in God.

Proverbs 23:18

“There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.”

Is a gift from God that the world cannot give us, as it written in

Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Romans 14:19, “So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual up building.”

Colossians 3:12, “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”
